Tigerlily's Safari Cake!

Tiger turns 1!

A big Happy Birthday to my baby niece, Tigerlily, who celebrates her 1st birthday party today! Naturally her parents are Tiger crazy & they wanted a Safari themed party to reflect that. I took inspiration from her invitation and created a girlie safari party with baby Tigerlily in her tiger birthday suit...Hope you like it!

:: Halloween :: Vampire Lips Cookie!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone! I'm so torn in celebrating it, because living in Australia means we are a bit behind in the ghostly festivities. However, it is becoming more and more popular and of course my kids wanted to do something to get into the we threw together some Vampire Lips to suck on of course! I added some funky moustaches to boot too.

Sprinkle Wedding Cake!

Confetti & Cake

Today I delivered my first Sprinkles wedding cake! When the bride emailed me, she sent through her Confetti inspired invitation and said she wanted her reception to feel "like a big party!" & loved the thought of a sprinkles cake...Well, I came up with the design you see below and although it is simple, I think it screams PARTY!

Baby's First Library :: Shower Cake

Books & Miffy

The Poy family are celebrating the arrival of their baby girl with a baby shower, themed around all the guests contributing a favourite children's book.

The mother-to-be sent me through her invitation package for design inspiration and I was blown away by the concept...including an old school library card invitation & matching labels for guests to insert inside their gifted books to let mum, dad & baby know who the book is from.
Such a creative take on a lovely baby shower theme.

French Elopement Soiree :: Part Two

Cake, J'taime

Last night was an amazing night! I managed to pull together 3 vintage inspired wedding cakes for my best friend's elopement party over the past week...& a handful of Eiffel Tower cookies to boot!

The Bride & Groom eloped to France a few months ago and last night they celebrated the occasion with an Elopement soiree, surrounded by family and friends. Here are a few shots of the cakes I made...

Fingers crossed I can con the Bride into sharing a few more shots from the party
& I will bring you a Part Three!

Fondant Flowers :: Part One

Dusts & Blooms

Well, I have had a massive week! It started with lots of prepping...Preparing an endless number of fondant flower buds, leaves, peonies and roses. Its always best to start these early in the cake making process and I captured a few shots while they were drying.

All these flowers were being made for a super special event...stay tuned for Part Two!
